Day 1

Welcome to Madrid

Arrive in Madrid and transfer to your accommodation. Settle in and receive an introduction to Spain’s diverse regions, cultures and the historic journey from the capital to Barcelona.

Madrid to Seville

Leave Madrid and travel through Extremadura, stopping in historic Cáceres or Mérida. Explore medieval streets or Roman heritage before continuing into Andalucía and arriving in Seville.

Discover Seville

Tour María Luisa Park, Plaza de España and the exterior of Seville Cathedral and the Giralda. Walk through the narrow streets and lively squares of Santa Cruz before enjoying time to explore the city.

Córdoba and the Mezquita

Travel to Córdoba and enter through the Almodóvar Gate before walking through the historic centre. Visit the magnificent Mosque-Cathedral and explore how Islamic, Christian and other cultural influences shaped the city.

Ronda and the Costa del Sol

Follow the scenic Route of the White Villages to Ronda. Discover its dramatic gorge, historic bridge and hilltop setting before continuing to the Mediterranean coastline.

Granada and the Alhambra

Travel to Granada for a guided visit to the Alhambra and Generalife Gardens. Examine intricate decoration, peaceful courtyards and water engineering while learning about the legacy of Al-Andalus.

Journey to Valencia

Travel east through changing landscapes towards Valencia. The journey provides an opportunity to observe Spain’s regional geography before arriving on the Mediterranean coast.

Valencia to Barcelona

Enjoy time in Valencia before continuing to Barcelona. Arrive in the Catalan capital, where the programme concludes or can be extended with additional Barcelona experiences.
